Thomas Gabriel Chung is a first-generation scholar, AI specialist, researcher, and award-winning tech entrepreneur driven by a mission to democratize computer science education and innovation across borders. He holds dual Master’s degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Technological Entrepreneurship from Russia’s top institutions—Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Innopolis University—and graduated with a perfect GPA in Automation Engineering during his bachelor’s. Born in Jos, Nigeria, amid economic hardship and regional conflict, Gabriel defied the odds to become his school’s top graduate and authored "The Book of General Knowledge" at just 13. He later founded GT Augment and GT Merch, augmented reality startups that have secured competitive grants, expanded into three countries, and served thousands of users. His research spans low-resource NLP (Berom AI), multimodal learning, AI for education, and human-centric systems, with recognition such as Silver Honours in the International Youth Math Challenge and Excellent Student of the Year. He has won numerous Olympiads, scholarships, and hackathons. Gabriel is a former Yandex and Innopolis University Ambassador, he combines technical depth with a passion for outreach and mentorship, and is especially committed to nurturing young talent through workshops, research initiatives, and inclusive community-building across Africa and Eurasia.
