Shimul Chowdhury is a Computer Science and Engineering undergraduate at Metropolitan University, Sylhet, Bangladesh, maintaining a CGPA of 3.94 out of 4.00 and recipient of the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship for academic excellence. His academic interests centre on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and algorithmic problem-solving, supported by over 200 solved problems on Codeforces and published projects including an earthquake prediction model using scikit-learn and a full-stack financial transparency platform built with Next.js and PostgreSQL. Shimul has demonstrated leadership and community engagement as a Campus Ambassador for the ICT Olympiad and as a volunteer with the Metropolitan University Disaster Response Unit. He is passionate about making international computer science competitions accessible to students across Bangladesh — particularly in underserved regions where awareness of global opportunities remains low. As an ICSC Ambassador, he aims to bridge that gap by organising workshops, building peer study communities, and creating Bengali-language preparation resources.
