Nancy Barisoa is a Software Engineer from Ecole Nationale d'Informatique with over six years of experience in environmental advocacy, gender equality, and youth empowerment. She earned the Best Team Leader and Best Tech4Good Award within Madagascar, DRC and Zimbabwe cluster from Huawei's Seeds for the Future program, the 50 Outstanding African Women in Development Award, and was appointed as a member of AfricanYouth4Forests Youth Advisory Council, and Indian Ocean Youth Regional Parliament from five States. She trained and led the third place Malagasy team winner of the 2022 African Debate Championship, and leads the EcoShe project receiving a Climate Justice Award by CDKN at GLF Nairobi. She founded the Tanora Revolution Podcast to empower young Africans, and her film HerVoice: The Untold Story of African Women in War was recognized by the Maypole Fund for its feminist activism against militarism and war. She is a certified Facilitator and MHFA at ChangemakerXChange, and Mentor at Women Environmental Programme. Her work has been featured in Midi Madagascar, Jejoo Madagascar, Youth Spotlight Show in Nigeria, The Responsible Citizen magazine in Botswana, Place aux jeunes in Benin, Global Landscapes Forum, and more.
