Haydar Qassem is a first-year Informatics Engineering student at Homs University with a passion for competitive problem-solving and community building. An accomplished mathematician, he has represented Syria in numerous international competitions, earning Honorable Mentions at the International Math Olympiad (IMO) and a Bronze Medal at the 2024 Asian Pacific Math Olympiad (APMO). Haydar is the co-founder of a math training initiative that has provided free mentorship to hundreds of students across several Syrian provinces. As an ICSC Ambassador, he is dedicated to leveraging his experience to build a vibrant and supportive ecosystem for the next generation of computer scientists in Syria.
