I am Erick Josephat Kalori, an Assistant Lecturer and Researcher at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) in Tanzania. My academic background is rooted in nuclear science, radiation protection, and environmental modeling. I am passionate about using my expertise to address real-world problems, especially those affecting public health and environmental safety. In recent years, I have been integrating computer science tools, including data analysis and programming, into both my research and teaching. This combination has allowed me to explore innovative approaches in scientific research and education. Beyond the academic setting, I am deeply committed to empowering youth through education and digital skills. I actively promote coding, scientific thinking, and digital literacy among students and young professionals across East Africa. I believe that by sharing knowledge and creating opportunities, we can inspire a new generation of problem-solvers and innovators. My vision is to contribute to building inclusive tech communities where everyone, regardless of background, has access to the tools and skills needed to succeed in the digital world. Through mentorship, community engagement, and collaboration, I continue to support efforts that bridge the gap between science, technology, and society. I am excited about every chance to learn, share, and grow.
